I purchased yeast from a local bakery and in came in a solid form(it was taken from a ‘block’). How docovert this to a teaspoon of dry yeast.

I would like to make the Genius recipe Cheesy Pan Pizza.

Hi! That looks like cake yeast, which should be kept in the fridge and used up more quickly than active dry or instant yeast (fresh yeast is more perishable). The Genius pizza recipe calls for 1/2 teaspoon (or about 1 1/2 grams) active dry or instant yeast. You can estimate anywhere from a 2:1 to 3:1 ratio for substituting here—so, you'd double or triple the weight of active dry or instant yeast to get the needed weight of fresh yeast. In this case that would be 3 to 4 1/2 grams.
