I've been a passionate home cook for many years. Food has always been a huge part of my life, beginning when I was young watching my mother, who was a wonderful cook and baker, maneuver around our kitchen creating great meals for us daily. I inherited that gene and my greatest pleasure is feeding people, whether it be family, friends or strangers. Food is the great equalizer, and something we all can relate to. The benefits derived from sharing a great meal with others go far beyond just filling our bellies. I'm not a career person... and other than my role as wife and mother, of the various jobs I've had those that made me happiest always had something to do with food... be it catering, working in kitchen specialty shops, or selling my rugelach... I began a food blog a year and a half ago at the beckoning of my sons and husband...at the time I thought what do I have to write about...but with over 160 posts under my belt I've found it to be so rewarding on a personal level. I'm happy to have found FOOD52, and I'm excited to be a part of this community.
