I'll take more time to write shortly, but for quick intro, I'm a working mom with a 13 year old boy. I am engaged to be married this fall. I've been following Food52 for a year or so and just got around to joining now! Ya know how those things go.. My heritage and cooking style is rustic Italian. I am comfortable cooking for a crowd and think I know how to grill or roast a perfect chicken! We eat lots of vegetables from our garden - it's hard not to have pasta every night since that's where I'm most comfortable....and most satisfied! I'm putting together a plan to bring more local food awareness to my community and families. I want to break the notion that you need to have money and/or lots of time to eat well and local. More on that topic and my blog in upcoming revised profile. I have to make dinner now with kale and pasta! Ciao, Food52 Community!

What do you cook when home alone?
