ABOUT THIS COOK:

I'm a holistic nutritionist and college professor who owned an organic bakery and now uses my food blog as an outlet for many of my my recipe-developing and writing impulses (and as an outlet for my two lab-border collie dogs, who like to comment on much of what I'm doing.). My recipes are all free of gluten, refined sugar, eggs, and dairy.

  • What is the strangest food you have ever eaten?
    Cow tongue (and still haunted by it).

  • What do you cook when home alone?
    Baked goods--always baking.

  • Your most treasured kitchen possession:
    Food processor, which I use at least twice a day.

    Let's say. . . . eight.
