I felt like the only 'foodie' in my small hometown growing up. I spent my Saturday mornings watching Jeff Smith, Jacques Pepin, and a young Emeril on PBS, with my Dad. We would then go shopping and make one of the recipes we had seen on tv. If we weren't making a tv recipe, we were cracking open one of Julia's books to pick something for the Sunday meal. The tradition continues!
