I am a big fan of the local farmer's markets. It's just so much fun roaming through farmer's markets on weekend mornings and picking up fresh produce that appeals to you. Then I like to craft my weeklong menu revolving around these fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. I try to cook seasonal as much as possible, but not always do I succeed. For the times when my cravings get the better of me, I have learnt to rely on my freezer or the pantry to save the day :) I am a software engineer by profession and have a day job that I absolutely love! When not in kitchen or huddled in front of my laptop looking up recipes, you can likely find me writing operating system device drivers or some such stuff. Reading is my biggest hobby (fueled by the mild insomnia that I carry). I also love yarn crafts like knitting and crocheting and landscape painting (acrylics).
