I grew up in Brooklyn, NY in a house where simplicity and freshness were key ingredients and that's still the way I like to cook everyday. Now, however, I also have a decadent side;) I love baking treats that I can share because I love feeding people. I love having people over for meals and, let's face it, making, eating and talking about food is an essential part of many of my friendships. I'm currently a graduate student in evolutionary biology which leaves little time for anything as superflous as making meals (ha!) which I think is an awful way to live and I try to make time to cook as much as possible.
