    Helen's Notes: This is my go-to crisp recipe. I make it all year, varying the fruit with the seasons. I like to use apples or pears as a base, adding berries or plums or even dried cranberries or apricots...

Serves 1 crisp

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Mix together both sugars, flour, oats, and butter with a fork, until crumbly.

  3. Toss sliced fruit with cinnamon and sugar until barely coated. Put in buttered pan. Cover with crisp topping. Bake 30-40 minutes, or until lightly browned and bubbling.
