Serves 4

  1. Add chives and 1 tablespoon Berliner Weisser beer to the ground beef and form patties.

  2. Add salt and pepper to both sides.

  3. Heat a heavy pan and add olive oil. Saute the onions.

  4. Sear the patties and cook until medium rare.

  5. Serve with mustard and onions on hard rolls with pomme frites and vinegar, gherkins, and green tomato pickles. Add a Berliner Weisse mit Schuss for the drink.

Thanks! And thanks for looking at all the photos. The burger could no doubt be made with any good beer, but the drink is more particular! Check the section where Lambics are carried in your liquor store-that's where I found both the beer and the Waldmeister. Himbeer is the raspberry, but I think that is too sweet.
