    My 12 year old daughter invented this recipe when our favorite gyro restaurant closed...

Serves 4

  1. Heat grill or pan to medium-high.

  2. Form ground beef into 4, 12 oz. patties. Season with salt and pepper. Grill for 5 to 7 minutes per side (med. well), or to your taste.

  3. While burgers are cooking, place romaine lettuce on bottom half of bun.

  4. Add a layer of cucumber sauce.

  5. Carefully mound 1 ½ oz. crumbled feta on top of cucumber sauce.

  6. Next place a hot juicy burger on top of the crumbled cheese.

  7. Top with thinly sliced onions.

  8. Roasted pepper strips.

  9. And the chopped olives.

  10. Add another spoonful of cucumber sauce to taste.

  12. Serve with crispy french fries tossed with smoked paprika, salt and pepper.

Don't you mean 4 - 6 ounce patties? (1.5 lb. is 24 ounces.)
