1 cup chopped pecans Ask a question about this ingredient
2 tablespoons light corn syrup Ask a question about this ingredient
1/3 teaspoon ground cinnamon Ask a question about this ingredient
Arrange bread slices in two rows in a buttered 9 by 13-inch baking dish.
Ask a question about this stepIn a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon until blended.
Ask a question about this stepPour mixture over the bread, pressing the bread down lightly to help absorb the mixture. Spoon the liquid over the bread until well coated.

i LOVE king's hawaiian sweet bread and this looks so sticky good cheryl!! i would love to have a big fat square of this along with a big tall glass of ice cold milk (1% since i've weened myself off of 2%)!! thanks for sharing your recipe and i can't wait to try it!!
I love Hawaiian bread. Your recipe sounds great and your picture looks so good. Will have to plan a big brunch party to try it out!

I have also cut the half & half in half with milk and cut the eggs to half egg whites (I was out of whole eggs and had egg whites) and it was still wonderful! It did take a little longer to cook though. I also always use whole wheat baguettes. Wonderful!
This is always requested when I host brunch. Even the "no carbs" people devour it!
What do you get when you combine a sticky bun with some french toast? Perfection on a plate! YUM!
