Using the first 4 ingredients make the meringue (see my basic meringue) recipe on food52
Ask a question about this stepPut a large spoonful of meringue batter on parchment or silpat on a baking sheet and smooth with a spoon to make a circular base. Repeat to make 6 meringues.
Ask a question about this stepSprinkle some of the micro-planed chocolate on each meringue and bake in a 275 degree oven for about 35 minutes. Turn off oven and leave for 15 minutes.

Love this! I've now made the strawberries with two different chiles and have them put up in jars - this looks like a great idea for dessert with one of those jars.
I love when we take each other's recipes and make our own variations--I love meringue--this sounds great.
Amanda's strawberries were just what my recipe needed. It is fun to link recipes.
I agree--I did that with 2 flourless chocolate cakes a few months ago.
