These dark chocolate dipped strawberries are so easy to make and so delicious – with just two simple ingredients and a little time – you can have an easy nice no-fuss type dessert that both adults and kids will like. —coffeefoodwrite

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 9-10 ounces dark chocolate (I like Scharffen Berger 70%)
  • 15 jumbo strawberries with stems attached
Directions
  1. Melt chocolate over metal bowl set over saucepan of barely simmering water or double boiler.
  2. Remove from heat. Dip each strawberry into warm chocolate. Place on baking sheet lined with buttered parchment.
  3. If in a hurry, you can place in freezer for about 5 minutes to harden chocolate (don’t leave too long though – don’t want to freeze strawberries!) Otherwise, just let sit out until chocolate has hardened. Arrange on plate or platter and serve.

There is a little candy store downtown here in Hot Springs that makes these things -- with strawberries that are nearly as big as your fist and should have no taste at all -- but do. Lord, but I love them.

They're also good to inject with a little amaretto before you dip them. :)

amaretto...great idea! I'll have to try that....

How do you inject the amaretto? I’m making these for 15 women for dessert. They are having a bachelor weekend at an R&BB that I cater for.
