2 dashes cinnamon Ask a question about this ingredient
Add milk to a pot and just before it boils, add cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and vanilla.
Ask a question about this stepOnce the milk begins to boil, toss in the oats and cook on medium heat for about 5-6 minutes or until the oatmeal looks ready.
Ask a question about this stepTurn off heat and add very thin slices of the banana, brown sugar and the butter. Stir to incorporate.

Wow. This oatmeal is amazing. My finace doesn't even like oatmeal, but he gobbled this up! I made a few changes...subbed 1/8 cup golden raisins and craisins for the banana and almonds for walnuts (b/c that's what I had on hand). Also, used a packet of Sweet & Low instead of brown sugar. I will definitely be making this a few times a week for breakfast!
