Serves 4 - 6

  1. Cut the bread into half inch cubes and fry with chopped onion, butter or smoked bacon. I recommend using old bread since it will be much easier to shape into cubes for frying.

  2. In a bowl mix the eggs with milk and a good pinch of salt. Now pour it over fried bread and leave to absorb the liquids.

  3. Now add flour and chopped parsley and shape into inch balls.

  4. Cook in boiling water for 10 minutes. Serve with stew or as a side dish to anything else. Additionally you can fry the dumplings prior to serving.
