Cook the noodles in boiling salted water, al dente. Drain well

Ask a question about this stepFor the sweet version, mix the sliced apples and (optional) raisins into the hot buttered noodles.
Ask a question about this stepFor the savory version, mix the sauteed onions and chopped spinach into the hot buttered noodles. (You may need to de-clump the spinach.)
Ask a question about this stepIn a separate bowl, mix together the cottage cheese, sour cream and -- for the sweet version, the cinnamon and nutmeg; -- for the savory version, the basil, salt and pepper.
Ask a question about this stepAdd the cottage cheese mixture to the buttered noodle mixture, and put the whole thing in a buttered 13"x9" pan.
Ask a question about this stepUse one of your bowls to beat the eggs and milk together. For the sweet version, add the sugar to the eggs and milk.

Lovely, both of these!! I'd probably cross over and add just a tiny pinch of nutmeg to the savory, because I love the way it tastes with spinach and cheese. The apple version looks divine! Thank you for posting this.
