In a microwave proof bowl, microwave the semisweet chocolate for 30 seconds, stir, and then microwave in 15 second intervals, stirring between each bout, until the pieces are melted. Mix in peppermint extract, then stir in pretzels. Spread as thinly as possible onto a baking sheet lined with parchment and pop in the freezer for 15-30 minutes or until firm.
Ask a question about this stepRepeat the microwaving process with the white chocolate. Quickly spread the white chocolate on top of the hardened chocolate pretzel mixture, and sprinkle crushed candy canes on top. Let cool until firm, and using a sharp knife, break into pieces.
Ask a question about this stepWhat a great alternative to the usual peppermint bark. I'm definitely going to make this. Thanks so much for posting the recipe! ;o)
I love this! I'm always on the lookout for "barks" without nuts and this looks perfect! Saved!

I made this today & can definitely recommend the recipe. I would never have thought of putting mint chocolate & pretzels together. The pretzels provide a little salty/buttery flavor, with the mint chocolate in the forefront. Mine didn't look quite as pretty as yours, but tasted wonderful.
