I'm making mushroom matar this weekend and want to make my own garam masala. One question I have is whether after roasting the spices if you remove the outside of the cardamom pods and only grind the seeds or if you grind the pods and the seeds?

Tony S no need to remove the outside cardamom pod you can grind pod and the seed.

Sounds great, but I'm not familiar with geera? Looks like it's a major component at 50g, so I should try to get it to make this. If I can't find it, can you recommend a substitute?
I am here - thank you for the referral - and I will try this. I have a Thermomix and it is perfect for making my own spice mixes!
