Serves about 2-3 pounds

  1. Heat oven to 300 degrees

  2. Mix all ingredients, EXCEPT the dried fruit. which you add after you remove the granola from the oven and it has cooled. Be sure that you use "old fashioned oats" ...not instant.

  3. Spread all the ingredients on a deep baking sheet and BAKE in the oven for about 45 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes until starts to turn golden.

  4. Take the mixture out of the oven and then stir in the dried fruit after it is cool.

I missed this one, sounds really good, I love making granola never used olive oil. Next time I make it going to use this recipe. I can really see how the olive oil would give this a delicous and unique flavor. Great recipe.

I have NO idea why this was entered in the brussels sprouts contest...I did not enter it in the contest and I just want you to know that there are NO brussels sprouts in this recipe!

Sadly, I'm allergic to nuts, so can't make this one as is, but I'm going to give olive oil a try next time - it sounds like a really interesting flavor addition!! Thanks for sharing!

I just noticed that this recipe was entered in "best Brussels sprouts" !! I hope that it wasn't true.
