2 cups dried cherries or cranberries Ask a question about this ingredient
3 cups old fashioned oats Ask a question about this ingredient
Heat oven to 300 degrees
Ask a question about this stepMix all ingredients, EXCEPT the dried fruit. which you add after you remove the granola from the oven and it has cooled. Be sure that you use "old fashioned oats" ...not instant.
Ask a question about this stepSpread all the ingredients on a deep baking sheet and BAKE in the oven for about 45 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes until starts to turn golden.

Sadly, I'm allergic to nuts, so can't make this one as is, but I'm going to give olive oil a try next time - it sounds like a really interesting flavor addition!! Thanks for sharing!

I just noticed that this recipe was entered in "best Brussels sprouts" !! I hope that it wasn't true.
I missed this one, sounds really good, I love making granola never used olive oil. Next time I make it going to use this recipe. I can really see how the olive oil would give this a delicous and unique flavor. Great recipe.
