Sweet and Spicy Ham and Cheese Panini

Serves 1 Sandwich

  1. Place two slices of bread onto a plate. On one slice, spread the Dijon mustard and on the other slice spread the orange marmalade. Use more or less than a teaspoon, depending on size of bread and your personal preference.

  2. Now place two large, but thin slices of pear on top of the orange marmalade and then add the two slices of ham and the one ounce of cheese on top. Now put the other slice on top, dijon mustard side down.

  3. Butter the outsides of the sandwich and either place in a panini press or on a saute pan on medium - high heat. Grill until the cheese is melted and the outside of the sandwich is golden and toasted. Slice in half and serve immediately.
