Your Best Recipe for Spring Peas

Pasta with Prosciutto, Snap Peas, Mint and Cream

My friends, a few years ago, decided to nickname me “Le Chef”. This is in part because my last name sounds French (Lambert), which it is not (it’s English, and we hate the French, or at least they hate us). It is also for the most part because I like to cook a lot, and I wind up cooking up elaborate feasts for pretty much no reason, and generally make a large mess in doing so. I have been known to cook and eat wild mushrooms after a quick internet consultation to determine (probable) toxicology, and to cut open and consume raw sea urchin off the rocks on a remote Brazillian beach. Some people call this “risky behavior”. I consider it haute cuisine. My Blog: www.lechefsblog.com

  1. What is the strangest food you have ever eaten?
Lots of strange food, but of course that's a matter of taste, isn't it? Fresh sauteed junebugs (from our porch screen) comes to mind. Roasted Scorpion in Thailand. Bluefish cheeks, raw, right after pulling them from the water.
  2. What do you cook when home alone?
    Pasta or seafood. Or both.
  3. Your most treasured kitchen possession:
My 6 inch Kyocera ceramic chef's knife. It doesn't rust on the boat.
  4. The ideal number of guests for a dinner party is:
    6
