I'm a home cook who loves experimenting and spending my Saturdays at the stove.
What is the strangest food you have ever eaten?
This summer at a BBQ, my friends and I were discussing Paula Deen’s infamous glazed donut burger. As a dare, I made a barbequed pulled pork sandwich with two chocolate cookies as the bun. Surprisingly, it wasn’t awful, but I don’t think I’ll be submitting that any time soon!
What do you cook when home alone?
I love cooking really complicated dishes when I’m alone, but there are plenty of nights where it’s me and a spoon and a jar of peanut butter.
Your most treasured kitchen possession:
A coffee bowl that was my first purchase the summer I subletted a miniature apartment in the West Village. I was 19, still reeling after living in France, and it was magical to sip coffee every morning from my little bowl.
The ideal number of guests for a dinner party is:
4-6. My goal is to have one conversation that includes everyone. Plus I only have 6 plates!
