ABOUT THIS COOK:

Hi there, I'm Julia. When I'm not cooking, browsing the web for food inspiration, blogging or doing the dishes, I'm finishing up a degree in Economics and German (with a little Computer Science mixed in). I've lived in Berkeley, Berlin and now Boston. I enjoy many things, but I particularly like cheese, picnics, sharp knives, things organized neatly, and cities starting with "B".

  • What is the strangest food you have ever eaten?
Eisbein. That's German for extremely humble piece of meat.

  • What do you cook when home alone?
A pot of lentils or pasta with abundant amounts of olive oil, garlic and parmesan. It all depends on how I'm feeling about being alone

  • Your most treasured kitchen possession:
    My dutch oven. It's turquoise.

  • The ideal number of guests for a dinner party is:
    6
