ABOUT THIS COOK:

My husband and I currently live and work in Bangkok, Thailand and love it (I'm originally from Texas *hookem* but he's Australian). We've lived in many random countries over the last few years due to work and, while I love local cuisine, all my favorite recipes from my childhood become the comfort food I turn to when I just can't eat another curry or chili pepper. I stumbled onto Food52 while surfing Bon Appetit's website and was immediately hooked. The people on this site are so warm, supportive of each other, and hilarious! And you are all fabulous cooks that I look forward to learning more from. You are all making my life delicious and I thank you!

  • What is the strangest food you have ever eaten?
    Ants. But they were covered in chocolate so it kind of doesn't count!

  • What do you cook when home alone?
    A lot of stir fries or roasted veggies when I want to be healthy, and mac and cheese when I don't.

  • Your most treasured kitchen possession:
    My silicone spatulas. I would love a KitchenAid Mixer but we move too much and I don't want to deal with voltage issues... but someday!!!
