In my household, I am le chef de cuisine and my wife is the pâtissière. This is mostly due to my willingness to experiment with various vile combinations in search of a perfect sip or nip. My wife, on the other hand, adheres strictly to rules and measurements. I've been often teased for constructing sandwiches which take 20 minutes to build and less than 5 minutes to eat. My pipe dream is to turn my love of bizarre constructions into a sandwich shop. I suppose I'll settle with sharing my imaginary menu (and other dishes) here. Currently, I'm in Afghanistan, so pictures of my culinary creations are difficult to manage.
What is the strangest food you have ever eaten?
Dry roasted grasshoppers bought in a gas station near Mexico. They tasted like sunflower seeds and the hind femurs' spines rubbed against my tongue giving the impression that this long since deceased bug was alive.
What do you cook when home alone?
A 20 minute sandwich...
Your most treasured kitchen possession:
My chef's knife.
The ideal number of guests for a dinner party is:
No less than two, no more than ten.
