I have interned in pastry, but am not planning to pursue baking professionally. I find food that looks as good as it tastes very cool... as long as it tastes good.

    Royal Jelly from a little Glas tube.

  • What do you cook when home alone?
    I'd like to say a tomato sandwich. Louise Fitzhugh's Harriet The Spy eats a tomato sandwich every single day. I wish that were true about me.

  • Your most treasured kitchen possession:
    I hauled my ice cream maker all the way from DC to Zürich.

  • The ideal number of guests for a dinner party is:
    A nice bunch. Like a bunch of jolly, plump, purple grapes.
