ABOUT THIS COOK:

I am a classical pianist, who has loved to cook and bake since I was a teenager. I am still very curious about everything that is connected to food and I like to know and learn what people are cooking all around the world. I learned to cook and bake from my Mom and Aunt Klara; they both were amazing cooks and bakers and knew how to throw a party. We rarely sat down to lunch or dinner without a couple of friends or relatives. My Mom’s family lived in Bucharest for 18 years and Rumanian cuisine was always an inspiration and a strong influence in their dishes. I Many times regret that I didn’t write down more of their delicious recipes. We are Jewish but do not keep a strictly kosher lifestyle, but we enjoy all Jewish Holidays and traditional food. These days I have the pleasure of cooking and baking for my children and especially for my grandchildren, who always appreciate and love the dishes I make for them. I am also very glad that I found Food52, where it is very interesting to communicate and share recipes with so many talented, knowledgeable and always- ready- to- help people.
