My name is Nancy, and my husband and I live in Sprinfield, IL, smack dab in the middle of central Illinois. I cooked professionally for about 5 years in my 20's in high-end restaurants but decided to leave the hectic hours for a more "normal" lifestyle after meeting my husband. Now, I do the 8-5 thing, giving me time for a life and the things I love - food, wine, and traveling to enjoy food and wine! My favorite Saturday is cooking a great meal, opening a bottle of wine, and enjoying it with family or friends. We started a garden last year, and, with practice, hope that it will become an integral part of our meals, and, ultimately, our lives.

Fried Egg and Cheese sandwich...and ideally we have some proscuitto or basil on hand to add to it

4 - 6 We have a tiny house, so any more and we would be sitting in each other's laps
