ABOUT THIS COOK:

  • What is the strangest food you have ever eaten?
In San Diego's version of "China Town", a neon green candy that tasted like toasted seaweed with the consistency of jelly.

  • What do you cook when home alone?
I'm never alone (6 kids) but if I was then sweet pea risotto with mint (with Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio) - perhaps with some pancetta also depending on the mood.

  • Your most treasured kitchen possession:
Cherry pitter, zester and a special knife

  • The ideal number of guests for a dinner party is:
6 in addition to me, my husband and kids.
