Co-author of "The Cleaner Plate Club: Recipes and Advice for Getting Real Kids to Love Real Food." My crazy resume includes work as a photojournalist, writer, and shark wrangler. As much local food activist as cook, I am, most of all, a mom determined to make the world a better place for her child, one meal at a time. My blog is expatriateskitchen.blogspot.com, and my work also appears on EatLocalChallenge.com and EatDrinkBetter.com. Book available on Amazon: http://amzn.to/9XI8Kq
What is the strangest food you have ever eaten?
Fresh kava drink shared with a Fijian Chief. Quite an experience.
What do you cook when home alone?
Meals for the week from the 40lbs. of produce I buy at the farmers market. Got to cook when you can.
Your most treasured kitchen possession:
My chef's knife.
The ideal number of guests for a dinner party is:
6-8. I like having two couples as guests so they can enjoy company as I am in the kitchen quite a bit of the evening. Kids are welcome. They need to learn to eat good food at our table.
