Any food52 member is welcome to help us test our Editors' Pick candidates, so go call dibs on the recipe you'd like to test in the comments section below! We'd love to see some new testers in the mix. Don't forget to email us your notes (about 100 words) to editors@food52.com by next Tuesday at 5pm.
We'll collect your comments, decide the official list of Editors' Picks and publish your evaluation in the headnote if the recipe is selected as an Editors' Pick (with credit, of course!). And even if the recipe you test isn't chosen as an Editors' Pick, please feel free to leave your testing notes in the recipe's comments section. Constructive criticism is always encouraged!

added about 1 year agoAlas, I think they've all been called. But please feel free to test something and add your notes to the comments section of whatever recipe you choose!
Tomato Basil Soup please!
I think that the Cracked Wheat and Corn with Thai Basi has not been taken yet. I'd love to try that! AJ - I hope you like the sesame noodles!
I'll attempt the Trofie e Pesto. Will have make the substitution of packaged pasta, but Signore Litteri has quite a shop down the road, so I should be able to find something suitable. Also have Arbequino olive oil brought back from Spain. Where I lived it was the Roma/Lazio battle, but hopefully pierino will forgive me for all of the above!
Sono romanista! Abbasso Lazio!!!
I haven't been able to partake in this or submit recipes for a couple weeks now - and I've really missed it! I've been in New Mexico this week taking a fabulous southwestern cooking class and am prepping all next week for a cooking class I'm putting on next week. I'm still so new at all this it takes me a lot of prepping! But hopefully after that I can start participating more again. Sure have loved seeing everyone's recipes though!! And if any of you are ever looking for a fabulous, authentic southwestern and mexican cooking class, look into Jane Butel's classes. She also does culinary tours to Mexico where she lived for a long time. She's the real deal.
I was just thinking of you earlier today, wondering where you have been hiding! Looking forward to some New Mexican recipes -
I'll take Cold Sauce please!
I'll pick up the Montbrun Melange: Olive Bread with Basil, Marinated Tomatoes, and Anchovies. Yum!
I'll volunteer for the basil ice cream, and take my old ice cream maker out of moth balls. (The photo is hauntingly beautiful!)
Oh man, everything looks so good. I'm very sad I'm heading out of town and won't be able to test any. Have fun, everyone!
If the Basil, Toasted Walnut bread is still open to try I will take this recipe.
I just claimed it but you know what? I am getting ready to go away next week so I'll gladly pass it to you...if I have time, I'll make it too, but you can be the official tester ;)
Basil and Toasted Walnut Loaf PLEASE!
OK, I'm back on the antipasto couscous cakes and passing on the Montbrun Melange - which also looks terrific!

So excited to see my Grilled Shrimp Packets with Basil, Garlic and Red Curry Compound Butter on this amazing list of recipes! I would love to hear if others like the dish :)
If you don't want a re-test of EP'd antipasto couscous cakes, may I test Montbrun Melange?
I call Thai Basil, Coconut and Lime Sorbet!
Looks like the link for the soup and ice cream isn't working.

I'd be glad to try the antipasto couscous cakes -
But I see they have already earned an Editors' Pick from the past - do you want a second test??

added about 1 year agoYes, indeedy! They don't have an "official" EP headnote yet.
I'll try the Corn, Goat Cheese, Basil, and Lemon Tart with Basil and Lemon Oil - looks great!
thanks for posting my tart photo! and i would love it if someone tested out my corn, goat cheese and lemon tart. but there is an error in the ingredient list's order so see my comment down below the recipe for the correction. is there a way to go in and fix the error? the corn is listed under the basil lemon oil instead of being up above after "pepper to taste." thanks, phyllis (dashandbella)

added about 1 year agoSagegreen, I think JoanG got to it first. Anything else you'd like to test?
I see JoanG just beat me to this. If there is anything left that is simple, I would be happy to help test. I need something easy since I still am getting over my jetlag! Let us know what is left. Thanks.
Compund chevre with basil and walnuts please!
