Any food52 member is welcome to help us test our Editors' Pick candidates, so go call dibs on the recipe you'd like to test in the comments section below! We'd love to see some new testers in the mix. Don't forget to email us your notes (about 100 words) to editors@food52.com by next Tuesday at 5pm.
We'll collect your comments, decide the official list of Editors' Picks and publish your evaluation in the headnote if the recipe is selected as an Editors' Pick (with credit, of course!). And even if the recipe you test isn't chosen as an Editors' Pick, please feel free to leave your testing notes in the recipe's comments section. Constructive criticism is always encouraged!

If anyone wants to do the saffron fettuchini, but doesn't feel like making their own pasta, you can boil fresh fettuchini in saffron water, just use a bit less water than you normally would and add the saffron to the water once it begins to simmer.
Found squash blossoms at the market today - will try the Zucchini Risotto recipe.
This is from your friendly editors at Food52.
added about 1 year agoUPDATE: 2 recipes still need testers -- Zucchini Risotto with Stuffed Squash Blossoms & Summer Squash with Saffron Fettuccine
I'd love to, but I have been unable to find the blossoms....
If I can find squash blossoms at the farmers' market tomorrow, I'd be happy to take the risotto.
I had no luck finding squash blossoms at our markets today, so if anyone with access to them wants to test the risotto, I'll put it back on the table.
Jenn,
Do you want to switch recipes with me? I took the Curried Summer Squash Soup but can do the risotto instead as I have TONS of squash blossoms in my garden...I can do both if you don't want to do the soup, though.
