Throwing parties is fun. (We do it all the time.)

Throwing parties to celebrate yourself and your friends? Even better.

Shop the Story

All around the world, the Food52 community gathered to drink, to eat, and to celebrate the release of The Food52 Cookbook, Volume II. Armed with Olli's Handcrafted Cultured Butter, beans from Rancho Gordo, and, of course, a book filled with your own recipes, you all threw parties we wish we could've joined.

Here are some highlights, and share your own experiences in the comments!

Mollycumming hosted a potluck in downtown Austin, with, from left to right, starting at the top: Sandra Merrell (TXExpatInBKK's mom), TXExpatInBKK (Who just happened to be home from Thailand for a few months, which enabled her to attend her first Food52 event!), arielleclementine (with baby Henry), Dina Proffer, aargersi, LocalSavour, and HelentheNanny (who took the photo!).

Their spread included Food52 favorites Brown Butter Bourbon Banana BreadParty Pretzel BitesAchiote Chickpeas, Butternut Squash Wedges with a Sage Hazelnut PestoShaved Brussels Sprout Salad, and Short Rib Ragu.

Luvcookbooks and friends threw a potluck in New York, which featured a homemade ice cream and toppings bar (with Miso Caramel!). To round out the meal, they also ate mrslarkin's Butternut Sage Scones (made by the woman herself!) and Sagegreen's The Complete Easy All Vegetarian Holiday Brunch.

CamillaMMann's friends and family gathered in Monterey, California to cook (and eat!) Food52 recipes Absurdly Addictive Asparagus, Thanksgiving Osso Bucco, and other family favorites (like rosemary foccacia in their outdoor pizza oven! Jealous.).

Pistachio Doughnut also attended our party. Since she was my food52 Secret Santa, I had to really zip it up when the topic came up.
