I LOVE Omnivore Books. I went there for the first time in January, and what a lovely little space and a great selection of books! They even have a small collection of personal letters from MFK Fisher that you can buy if you're a collector of that sort of thing.
I'm new to food52 but can testify to the excellence of Bourke Street Bakery products. I've never eaten out of their Surry HIlls shop, but have purchased wonderful bread and tarts from the Gardeners Rd, Alexandria store, and we've recently been eating the best pies ever from the Marrickville outlet.
Also a very nice ginger brulee tart. Mmmmm ...
