The Food52 Cookbook, Volume II Potluck Parties

The Food52 Cookbook Volume 2

As the year winds down, as the weather gets colder, as the squash and pumpkins and cabbages replace the tomatoes, eggplants, and stone fruits at the market, we start thinking about how much we have to be thankful for.

We’ve got holidays – and celebrations – on the mind.

Shop the Story

And now, we’ve got yet another excuse for you to celebrate: the debut of The Food52 Cookbook, Volume II!

In honor of our second cookbook together, we’re asking you to spread the word, to invite your friends, and to throw the fun, fabulous potlucks we know you Food52-ers are experts at. And if you host, we and some of our favorite small producers will send you lots of cool stuff – 5 cookbooks, 2 pounds of Olli’s Handcrafted Cultured Butter (one salted, one herbed), and 10 half-pound bags of Rancho Gordo beans as giveaways for guests.

Olli's ButterRancho Gordo

Here’s how to get in on the action:

• Anyone interested in hosting or attending a Food52 Cookbook Potluck, please organize yourselves in the comments below! If you’re hosting, feel free to invite your friends -– and to include other Food52ers in your area.

• The first 40 hosts who write to us at [email protected] listing the location and number of people expected to attend (at least 7) will get the above loot from Olli’s and Rancho Gordo.

• Make sure to take lots of photos, and send them to [email protected]; we can’t wait to feature them on Food52!

• And don't forget to pre-order the book, which will be on shelves December 4th!

Cheers!

I will be hosting a potluck party in January, on a Sunday. Please contact me with your email address if you are a food52er in the greater metro area and willing to travel to the Bronx for a Sunday Sundae Ice Cream Brunch celebrating the second volume of Food52 recipes!

Oops - not sure if my message posted. I have the perfect group in Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC. We meet monthly with speakers and always contribute food relevant to the topic. This would be a great way for uf to have a fun end-of-year gathering with members making dishes from the book -- and several taking home terrific door prizes! There are a number of well-known cookbook writers and food bloggers in our group, so there would be considerable opportunities to publicize the event and write about its outcome.
