UPDATE: We've reshot this sunny salad -- exhibit A above! -- and now you can see us make it in the new slideshow below.
Call us lazy. Our beloved videographer Elena Parker was down with the flu and the long marination/braising times of our delicious short rib finalists would have strained the bounds of our normal video shoot anyway.
So instead, we dug up this never-released, surprisingly seasonal video of A&M making Red Leaf Salad with Roasted Beets, Oranges and Walnuts from 2009 (food52 hadn't even officially launched yet!), shot by Joel Tomar Levin.

well this is just weird. I am just heading out to a client's and have this on her menu, the one change being that I am using almonds(her preference) which I am going to glaze with a little balsamic and pepper.
Merrill is a co-founder of food52.

this looks like a great recipe, I'm so excited to try it. Amanda I really like your salad utensils, where did you get them?
I sure feel vintage and totally agree with Lizthechef, I too loved and miss the days we knew everyone like a big family and the entries for each recipe were below 30 from the "pack". So much for the just born days!
But even if I miss the just born days, I'm sure that was never the intention of Food52 and both Amanda and Merril deserve a huge praise for their incredible work.
All the best,
OK, I'm nostalgic and miss those days when we used to know everyone posting - seems incredible now. I remember panting at the bit during that first summer, waiting to be admitted to the site. Nice - thanks for posting!
