H'mmm. Got one. There's another that's either a salad or a dessert, depending on how you want to eat it; I generally eat it as both. I may stick it in as well.
I was taken aback for a second, but now I'm all over this. I'm looking to my inner Calvin Trillin for my inspiration, and I think I know where he's leading me.
For some reason, we serve Maida Heatter's Chocolate Marquise Cake with Mocha Cream at all our Thanksgivings. Definitely not a pie, yet always welcome after turkey.

I'll look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with
Sounds great; I can't wait to enter!
i make persimmon pudding and if it's not precipitating chocolate chip meringues. i do admit to a carmelized quince crostata with vanilla syrup...
I so want to enter a contest, but non-pie at Thanksgiving? Are you kidding? People--Thanksgiving and pie cannot be separated. We make 3 kinds.
Submit your pie recipes. We'd love to see them anyway!
Are cookie crumb bases tenable? Ok, when you're done laughing about that word which I just had to use...please tell me :-)
I've been experimenting with something perfect for this! yeah!
