plum and blueberry custard tart with hazelnut crust spiced plum cheese round

Any food52 member is welcome to help us test our Editors' Pick candidates, so go call dibs on the recipe you'd like to test in the comments section below! We'd love to see some new testers in the mix. Don't forget to email us your notes (about 100 words) to editors@food52.com by next Tuesday at 5pm.

We'll collect your comments, decide the official list of Editors' Picks and publish your evaluation in the headnote if the recipe is selected as an Editors' Pick (with credit, of course!). And even if the recipe you test isn't chosen as an Editors' Pick, please feel free to leave your testing notes in the recipe's comments section. Constructive criticism is always encouraged!

Thanks for the EP honor! I so wish I weren't back on the road again traveling this week. The recipes for testing look phenomenal!

Though the Summer Plum Pudding is intriguing, I'm always interested in trying a new pie crust, so I'll try the Caramelized Plum Ravioli. If no one else wants to try the Summer Plum Pudding, I'd be happy to try that too.

Anything left?

Yes, the Summer Plum Pudding and the Caramelized Plum Ravioli are still up for grabs.

I am eager to test the Stone cold soup. I have already made another of Sagegreen's fruit recipes, and it is terrific!

Thanks for selecting this one as an EP candidate. You can make it without the sapa. I am interested in any feedback you can offer.

I'd love to test Tarte aux Quetsches (Italian Plum Tart), please.

I don't think anyone's taken the plum ravioli yet either.

Sorry, cheese1227 -- yes, the Caramelized Plum Ravioli is still available for testing!

Five great recipes still available: Sage Infused Plum-Blackberry-Honey-Gelato, Summer Plum Pudding, Stone Cold Soup, Tarte aux Quetches, Sugar Plum Sherbet with Star Anise. Which one do you want to test?

Kitchen_fun Reply

I'd love to do the Red Wine-Honey Plum Sauce. Thanks!

I forgot to mention in the recipe that it takes several hours of refrigeration for the flavors to come into "focus" --I made it at night, and put it in the fridge. The next morning it was more flavorful than when I tasted it the night before. This is true of so many recipes, flavors "bloom" during a rest.
