Queenie Takes Manhattan is written by Meg Blocker, a.k.a. Queenie (a childhood nickname from her mother that stuck). If you're picturing a spunky little raven-haired girl galavanting around New York City, you're just about right.
From her apartment on the Upper East Side, Meg writes about cooking and baking, Greenmarket expeditions, restaurants (with sweetly composed photos -- a rarity in furtive point-and-shoot restaurant photo-blogging) and traveling to places like Paris, Napa and Sandusky, Ohio.
We're suckers for summer fruit, so we especially appreciate her recent slew of berry and stone fruit posts with baking recipes, pretty pictures and snappy titles like Oh. Em. Gee. and Get thee a galette!
